I’m really liking the idea of decorating with black and white for Halloween this year.
I’ve made a few things I want to share with you and I’ve included some things I’ve found on Amazon. (Included are the affiliate links and I make a few coins if you use my links, thanks!)
I have found that my front porch is the main attraction and the place I start when decorating for Halloween.
Starting off with my buffalo check rug under my doormat, I just went from there. I’ll give more details on the post about my front porch display.
Here’s a link to the rug in different sizes.
I have a place on the right side of my door for a wreath. However, I decided to use my metal wall planter and add black sprigs of things and a raven. Can you see him? If you need a raven, here’s a link.
The kitchen also makes a good place to add seasonal elements like dish towels and knick-knacks in the corner of the counter. I painted this Harry Potter quote on a chalkboard because I love the Remus Lupin character!
(Don’t forget the chocolate bar which helps you recover from a Dementor attack!)
Then, I made my favorite craft of the season – twinkle light jar. I don’t know why I love it so much, but I do! Just buy a glass jar that you like and get strings of battery-operated string lights. I used both orange and white stars.
Dishtowels add a pop of seasonal color and fun to your kitchen for any holiday!
These black cat towels are fun!
These damask towels are classy and yet feel Halloween-y!
Buffalo check towels are just basically great!
If I had chairs or a swing on my front porch, these pillow covers would have been purchased immediately!
These battery-powered candles are great because they already look old and used, perfect for Halloween.
I also made a Harry Potter-esque display which I share in another post. And I’ll give details about my front porch display in yet another post.
Thanks for stopping by!
